Job Description

Blate Papes is looking for an editor to help scale a fast-growing consumer brand from 30 videos per month to 120+ videos. This role involves turning raw footage into high-performing short-form content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. The ideal candidate will understand that content exists to generate attention, trust, clicks, and sales rather than focusing solely on aesthetics.

Requirements

Required:

• Experience editing vertical short-form content
• Proficiency in CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or equivalent
• Strong English comprehension
• Fast communication
• Reliable turnaround times

Bonus Points:

• Experience in the consumer product sector
• Direct-to-consumer (DTC) experience
• Background in health/supplement niche
• Experience editing viral content
• Experience working with creators

Additional Information

Pay: $15–20 per completed video

Volume: 20–30+ videos/week

Location: Remote

Commitment: Ongoing freelance contract

Deliverables:

• Typical video length: 20–90 seconds
• Vertical format (9:16)
• Captions included
• Platform-ready export

Expected Turnaround: 48 hours or less after receiving footage.

Compensation:

• $15–20 per completed video
• Typical weekly volume: 20–30 videos
• Estimated weekly earnings: $300–600+
• Long-term opportunity for increased volume

Editors who consistently improve performance and reliability will receive priority for additional work.

Hiring Process

Step 1: Submit portfolio, 3–5 examples of short-form content you’ve edited, and your favorite creator or brand for editing inspiration.

Step 2: Qualified applicants receive a paid test edit.

Step 3: Evaluation based on following instructions, brand fit, pacing, and delivery time for the test edit.

Note: All test edits are paid.
