Job Description

Our client in the energy sector seeks to onboard a Marketing Assistant to provide effective coordination and administrative support in the execution of marketing, public relations, and communications activities. The role includes assisting in campaign implementation, managing digital and content updates, supporting public relations initiatives, and facilitating internal communications, aiming to enhance brand visibility, ensure consistent messaging, and contribute to the achievement of organizational marketing objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• 1–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or a related role.
• Experience supporting the implementation of marketing campaigns, promotions, and brand activations, including coordination with agencies, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Relevant certifications in Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, or Public Relations will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of social media management and digital marketing tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms.
• Exposure to digital marketing activities, including social media management, content scheduling, and preparation of engagement reports.
• Understanding of brand guidelines, compliance requirements, and documentation processes related to audits and regulatory standards such as ISO and HSSEQ.
• MUST have attained KCSE B+ and above.
• MUST have attained a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field with Second Upper Class.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in report writing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other spreadsheet applications.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
