Job Description

Our client in the energy sector seeks to onboard a Marketing Assistant to provide effective coordination and administrative support in the execution of marketing, public relations, and communications activities. The role involves assisting in campaign implementation, managing digital and content updates, supporting public relations initiatives, and facilitating internal communications to enhance brand visibility and achieve organizational marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of approved marketing campaigns, promotions, and activations by coordinating timelines, materials, suppliers, and on-ground activities while tracking tasks for timely completion.
  • Manage social media and digital platforms by assisting with content scheduling, agency coordination, and performance reporting.
  • Support public relations activities by assisting with media requests, internal communications, and maintaining media coverage records.
  • Assist in the production of the quarterly company magazine by liaising with designers and printers for timely content collection and publication.
  • Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and internal policies across marketing activities, maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct market research, including competitor analysis and customer insights, to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Plan and coordinate events for company activations, exhibitions, and stakeholder engagements, ensuring logistical arrangements are in place.
  • Prepare marketing reports, presentations, and performance summaries for management and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update marketing databases, contact lists, and asset libraries for accurate records.
  • Support internal communication initiatives to keep employees informed of campaigns and corporate announcements.
  • Monitor industry trends and media coverage to enhance marketing strategies.
  • Provide administrative support to the marketing team, including preparing materials and coordinating meetings.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

· 1–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or a related role.

· Experience in supporting marketing campaigns, promotions, and brand activations, including coordination with agencies and internal teams.

· Relevant certifications in Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, or Public Relations are an advantage.

· Basic knowledge of social media management and digital marketing tools.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms.

· Exposure to digital marketing activities such as social media management and content scheduling.

· Understanding of brand guidelines and compliance requirements related to audits and regulatory standards such as ISO and HSSEQ.

· Must have attained KCSE B+ and above.

· Must have attained a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field with Second Upper Class.

Skills and Competencies:

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

· Proficiency in report writing.

· High attention to detail and accuracy.
