Job Description
Marmur Medical is seeking a talented and driven Social Media Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This position is an opportunity to work at the intersection of premium medicine, cutting-edge dermatology, and innovative cosmetic treatments, producing content that reflects the quality of one of New York’s most respected medical and luxury aesthetic practices. The Social Media Specialist will manage the social media presence, working closely with the marketing team to create high-quality, platform-native content that aligns with the practice’s goals. The role requires approximately 20 hours per week, with two days in-office for content capture and remaining hours flexible for remote work.
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Production
- Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality photo and video content.
- Develop platform-appropriate content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.
- Write engaging captions and copy that reflect the practice’s voice and values.
- Manage a content calendar for consistent, on-brand publishing.
- Repurpose and optimize content across platforms.
- Support thought leadership initiatives for Dr. Ellen Marmur.
Social Media Management
- Manage and publish content across all social media accounts.
- Coordinate posts and content featuring individual provider profiles.
- Monitor platform performance metrics and report on KPIs.
- Stay updated on algorithm changes and best practices.
Community Management
- Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and mentions timely.
- Engage with patient content and foster a supportive online community.
- Identify and escalate sensitive inquiries per HIPAA guidelines.
Collaboration & Strategy Support
- Work with the Regional Marketing Manager to align social content with campaigns.
- Maintain communication for alignment and strategic discussions.
- Contribute ideas in strategy meetings and support influencer outreach.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
- 3+ years of social media management experience in relevant contexts.
- Proven track record of growing social media followings and engagement.
- Portfolio of original content required.
- Experience with medical providers or clinical teams preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA considerations.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in content creation tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.).
- Strong on-camera direction skills.
- Excellent written communication and copywriting ability.
- Experience with analytics tools.
- Culturally aware and trend-savvy.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Collaborative, professional, and self-motivated.
