Job Description

Pacific Street Creative Group is looking for a talented freelance video editor to join our growing team on a monthly contract basis. We’re searching for someone with a strong storytelling instinct who can seamlessly move between long-form documentary content and fast-paced social media edits. If you know how to build emotion, create compelling narratives, and also understand what performs on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, we’d love to hear from you.

Requirements

What You’ll Edit

• 5–15 minute documentary-style films
• Social media content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok)
• Brand stories
• Behind-the-scenes content
• Interviews
• Promotional and marketing videos
• Event recap videos

What We’re Looking For

• Exceptional storytelling and pacing
• Strong documentary editing experience
• Ability to identify emotional moments and craft engaging narratives
• Experience editing both 16:9 and 9:16 content
• Excellent music selection and sound design instincts
• Clean, professional color correction and audio balancing
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to take creative direction while also bringing your own ideas to the table
• Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Experience

• Adobe Premiere Pro (required)
• After Effects and motion graphics experience is a plus
• Experience working with multicam interviews and documentary footage
• Familiarity with YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook content

Contract Details

• Independent Contractor
• $2,000/month retainer
• Monthly workload will vary depending on active productions
• All footage, assets, and creative direction will be provided
• Opportunity for additional paid projects as our client roster continues to grow
