Job Title: Remote Wedding Post-Production Editor (Freelance Retainer)
About FoviMedia: FoviMedia is a boutique post-production studio dedicated to cinematic wedding storytelling. We are a team of storytellers specializing in rhythm and emotional impact.
The Role: This is a fully remote, fully asynchronous freelance retainer position. We aim to provide our editors with a dependable flow of work without the hustle of finding new clients. The role offers complete geographic and temporal freedom, with communication and file handling through Frame.io, meaning there are no fixed hours or timezone requirements.
Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of professional wedding video editing experience. Strong portfolio demonstrating musicality, pacing, and color work is required.
- Technical Mastery: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
- Workflow: Comfortable working with proxies and managing assets within Frame.io.
- Professionalism: Ability to manage own deadlines, communicate clearly, and deliver a polished product respecting the couple’s genuine connection.
Additional Information
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Core Deliverables: Editing high-end Wedding Highlight films, Feature Films, and Social Reels.
- Predictable Workload: Taking on 1 to 4 delegated projects per month based on personal availability and volume preferences.
- Seamless Workflow: Working within a dedicated cloud-based proxy workflow to ensure fast, high-quality output.
- Brand Alignment: Maintaining the distinct FoviMedia aesthetic - rhythmic, intentional, and heart-led storytelling.
- Turnaround Times: Social Reels: 3–5 business days, Montage Videos: 7–10 business days, Wedding Highlights: 10–14 business days, Feature Films: 14–21 business days.
Compensation:
- Earnings: Project-based compensation, with expected pay ranging from $600 to $4,800+ per month depending on the volume of work and specific projects assigned.
