Job Description

Looking for a reliable freelance video editor to assist with an ongoing sports interview show. This is a remote, project-based position with the potential for consistent recurring work. The role will initially focus on editing multicamera interviews and creating polished, engaging episodes. Over time, the position may expand to include more highly produced segments, athlete features, and story-driven content beyond traditional interviews.

Responsibilities

• Edit multicamera interviews in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Tighten conversations by removing pauses, filler words, and unnecessary sections
• Maintain natural pacing and continuity using alternate camera angles
• Incorporate relevant B-roll throughout each episode
• Perform basic dialogue cleanup and audio balancing
• Color-correct and match footage captured on Sony FX3 cameras
• Reframe and edit footage for vertical short-form social content
• Create social clips from completed interviews
• Organize project files and deliver clean, organized Premiere Pro projects
• Incorporate feedback and meet established deadlines

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Experience editing multicamera interviews, podcasts, or talk-show content
• Strong understanding of dialogue pacing and storytelling
• Experience integrating B-roll into interview-driven edits
• Familiarity with Sony FX3 footage, color correction, and camera matching
• Experience creating vertical social content
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Reliable communication and the ability to meet recurring deadlines

Experience editing sports, athlete, documentary, or broadcast-style content is preferred but not required.

Position Details

• Freelance / Contract, recurring position
• Approximately 8-12 hours per week
• Fully remote to start
• Opportunity for additional editing work as the role grows
• Potential for occasional in-person work in Austin, TX
