Job Description

The Manager Senior IT Full-Stack/Business System Analyst Support will be responsible for full-stack Java development with database management while partnering with the business to analyze process and information needs. This role requires clear identification and documentation of project requirements for technology solutions and serves as a strategic partner between business clients, technical development staff, vendors, and third-party administrators.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate analytical insights and progress on implementation to internal stakeholders.
  • Define the scope of a business requirement, decide the approach, and produce the specification.
  • Research production system issues as they arise and manage the process through to problem resolution.
  • Accurately document, track, and report on detailed implementation tasks to ensure that business requirements are met.
  • Effectively interact/interface with external parties including customers and vendors.
  • Define interfaces among systems components to ensure interoperability.
  • Oversee large, complex solutions, including planning.
  • Conduct initial troubleshooting and cause analysis in case of application system issues.
  • Manage new implementation and modification of IT programs/software; perform validation and verification testing.
  • Manage and execute a disciplined change management process.
  • Conduct requirements analysis and application system design and development.
  • Research enhancements or improvements of IT systems.
  • Collaborate with internal operation teams, customers, vendors, and third-party vendors.
  • Interface with support teams and operations to solve challenging business pain points.
  • Setup, monitor, and troubleshoot transaction flow for EDI and API integrations.
  • Train users on new or modified functionality.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports.
  • Generate/update data as requested by users.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Create and deliver functional documentation for related applications that support business operations.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing and writing detailed, actionable requirements and functional specifications.
  • Excellent business analysis, test planning, and activity planning skills.
  • 5+ years of hands-on end-to-end IT systems development or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate project teams and maintain effective relationships with business representatives independently.
  • Good understanding and extensive knowledge of logistics industry concepts.
  • Ability to manage all aspects/stages of the software development life cycle (Agile environment).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for effectively conveying and documenting designs and processes.
  • DB programming experience (PL/SQL or T-SQL).
  • Proficiency in Java, .NET, C#, Javascript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, DOM, Git/SVN.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.
  • 7-10 years of direct experience in Information Technology.
  • 8-13 years of direct experience in Information Technology and Logistics preferred.

Compensation

Compensation range is $90.00 per hour.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or computer for long periods.
  • Repetitive use of hands, including grasping, writing, and typing.
  • Ability to stand/walk.
  • Ability to carry/lift a maximum of 15 pounds.

Working and Environmental Conditions

  • Typical office environment with low-level noise exposure.
  • The position is located in the San Diego, CA office.
  • Communication with employees and field partners will primarily be conducted via phone and email.
