Job Description

Mad Maxy creates viral automotive and motorcycle content for an audience of over 9 million followers across Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, and Snapchat. Our content includes motorcycle adventures, road trips, vehicle builds, giveaways, racing, travel, and brand partnerships. We’re looking for a Viral Content Editor who understands what keeps viewers watching and can produce both long-form and short-form content that performs across multiple platforms.

You’ll receive source footage, existing edits, and creative direction from our team. Your job is to transform that material into polished, engaging videos while following our editing style and platform-specific best practices.

Responsibilities

• Edit engaging long-form videos for YouTube and Facebook.
• Create high-performing short-form content for Facebook, Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat, and other platforms.
• Repurpose existing videos into new content suitable for multiple platforms.
• Edit sponsored content that meets both brand requirements and platform best practices.
• Follow creative direction while contributing ideas that improve pacing, retention, and overall performance.
• Identify compelling moments from raw footage that have strong viral potential.
• Stay current with social media trends and continually improve edits based on performance data.
• Ensure all content complies with platform community guidelines and monetization policies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience editing both long-form and short-form social media content.
• Strong portfolio showcasing content that has generated significant engagement or viral reach.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Experience working with large, high-resolution footage, including 4K, 8K, and 360° video.
• Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, viewer retention, and platform-specific editing styles.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to receive feedback and consistently execute creative direction.
• Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with motorcycles, automotive content, travel, or action sports is a plus.

Technical Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A computer capable of smoothly editing up to 8K and 360° video footage.
• A reliable high-speed internet connection with:
• Minimum 100 Mbps download
• Minimum 50 Mbps upload
• Adobe Premiere Pro installed and available for professional work.
• Ability to upload and download large-files regularly.

Hiring Process

Qualified applicants will be invited to complete a short editing test. Using footage we provide, you’ll create a short-form edit that demonstrates your storytelling ability, pacing, creativity, and understanding of viral content. Applications will be reviewed over the following two weeks, after which the successful candidate will be selected.

Compensation

• $700 USD per week
• Fully remote freelance (independent contractor) position
• Long-term opportunity for the right candidate
