Job Description

AgileEngine is an Inc. 5000 company that creates award-winning software for Fortune 500 brands and trailblazing startups across 17+ industries. We are seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership for a team of senior engineers building and enhancing software products for a global printing and packaging company. This role involves owning architectural decisions across a Node.js and Next.js stack, setting engineering standards, conducting code reviews, driving adoption of AI-assisted development tools, and engaging directly with client stakeholders. The position combines architecture, delivery ownership, and direct client engagement within a distributed engineering team.

Requirements

MUST HAVES

• 7+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years leading engineering teams
• Deep expertise in Node.js and React/Next.js in production environments
• Strong architectural background in distributed systems, API design, scalability, and performance
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Proven track record of setting engineering standards, code review culture, and CI/CD practices
• Experience working directly with client stakeholders and translating business goals into technical plans
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience implementing AI-assisted development workflows
• Familiarity with Databricks or data lake architectures
• Exposure to CRO and A/B testing programs
• Experience leading distributed or hybrid teams across multiple geographies
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, or B2B SaaS domains
