Job Description

AgileEngine is seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership for a team of senior engineers working on software products for a global printing and packaging company. This role involves owning architectural decisions across a Node.js and Next.js stack, setting engineering standards, conducting code reviews, and driving the adoption of AI-assisted development tools. The ideal candidate will also serve as the primary technical counterpart to client stakeholders, combining architecture, delivery ownership, and direct client engagement within a distributed engineering team.

Requirements

Must Haves:

• 7+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years leading engineering teams;
• Deep expertise in Node.js and React/Next.js in production environments;
• Strong architectural background in distributed systems, API design, scalability, and performance;
• Hands-on experience with AWS;
• Proven track record of setting engineering standards, code review culture, and CI/CD practices;
• Experience working directly with client stakeholders and translating business goals into technical plans;
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience implementing AI-assisted development workflows;
• Familiarity with Databricks or data lake architectures;
• Exposure to CRO and A/B testing programs;
• Experience leading distributed or hybrid teams across multiple geographies;
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, or B2B SaaS domains.
