We’re looking for a part-time videographer/editor to support our social media content production. You’ll be on-site with the team in San Francisco two days a week, with the rest of your work done remotely or on location depending on the shoot schedule. You’ll shoot in and around SF, travel to events and athlete shoots as needed, and edit short-form video for Instagram and TikTok. You’ll work directly with our Creative Producer from concept to final cut, executing clear direction on set and covering smaller shoots independently when needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience shooting and editing short-form social video. Resume and portfolio required
• Fast, efficient editor with strong instincts for hooks, pacing, music, and retention
• Able to deliver near-final cuts from a brief or script with minimal revision rounds; you make strong creative calls on music, pacing, and structure
• Highly responsive; quick to confirm scheduling, flag issues early, and adapt when plans shift on short notice
• Experience with documentary-style video is a strong plus; comfortable with street-interview style filming
• Proficiency in a professional editing suite
• Flexible and comfortable with change. You thrive in fast-moving shoots, shifting plans, and new challenges
• San Francisco local preferred; able to be on-site two days a week and available for shoots, including occasional weekends and travel to events

What You’ll Do

• Shoot short-form video content on location: athlete collaborations, events, street interviews, behind-the-scenes, and product content
• Shoot product videos and paid ads content, working closely with the team on creative direction
• Cover shoots independently when needed; working from a shot list or shoot goals, capture sufficient, high-quality footage without supervision on set
• Edit vertical short-form videos (15–90 seconds) for Instagram Reels and TikTok with fast turnaround
• Craft hooks, pacing, and cuts built to perform; you understand what makes short-form video go viral, and you edit with retention in mind
• Drive the edit through music: strong ear for track selection and cutting to rhythm
• Handle color grading, sound design, captions, and platform-optimized exports
• Adapt on the fly across different shoot environments, and handle unexpected situations without losing the shot
• Keep footage and project files organized for smooth handoffs
• Maintain company camera and audio equipment, keeping gear organized, charged, and shoot-ready

Nice to Have

• Experience in fitness, sports, or health/wellness content
• Experience with DTC/e-commerce brands
• Working knowledge of lighting setups
• Motion graphics/text animation skills

Details

• Part-time contract, 15–32 hours/week
• Compensation: $35–50/hr depending on experience
• Schedule: 2 days on-site in San Francisco per week; remaining hours remote or on location based on shoot schedule
• Occasional weekend shoots and event travel required
• Camera and audio equipment provided

Pay: $27.59 - $33.22 per hour
