Job Description

You Can Be Both is a podcast and online community focused on LGBTQ+ individuals of faith, particularly those navigating the complex intersection of sexuality, gender, spirituality, and healing from negative church experiences. We are seeking a reliable and efficient part-time video editor to edit our weekly episodes and create short-form content for social media. The ideal candidate will transform raw podcast video and audio files into polished episodes with a quick turnaround time, using Opus Clips to identify engaging moments for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

Requirements

• Basic to intermediate experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or another professional video editing platform.
• Experience editing podcasts, interviews, or similar long-form content.
• Ability to edit quickly without sacrificing quality.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Capability to identify meaningful moments from conversations.
• Familiarity with editing vertical content for social media.
• Ability to review and correct AI-generated captions and edits.
• Reliable communication and adherence to weekly deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently with an established editing process.
• Respect for LGBTQ+ identities and experiences.

Time Commitment

• Approximately 2–4 hours per week, depending on episode length and complexity.
• Edit one full podcast episode and its accompanying short-form clips weekly.
• A consistent weekly schedule and quick turnaround are required.

Compensation

The starting rate is approximately $100 per completed episode and its accompanying social media clips. This includes the editing of the full-length episode and preparing 7–15 short clips based on usable content from the episode. Opportunities for increased compensation will be available as the podcast grows.
