Job Description

BENCH’d Podcast is seeking a creative, reliable Short-Form Video Editor to assist in growing our NFL media brand. The focus is on transitioning to a live-first content model with multiple weekly livestreams covering the NFL, fantasy football, player props/betting, and sports entertainment. The ideal candidate should be able to transform livestreams into engaging content for various social platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

Requirements

Required

• Experience editing short-form video
• Strong understanding of TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Ability to create engaging hooks and captions
• Strong sense of pacing
• Reliable turnaround
• Ability to work independently
• Good communication skills

Preferred

• NFL/sports knowledge
• Fantasy football knowledge
• Sports betting/player-prop knowledge
• Podcast or livestream editing experience
• Experience creating content that has performed well on social media

Weekly Deliverables

The editor will produce approximately 25–30 pieces of edited content per week, including:

• YouTube: 7–10 recycled segments per week, standalone videos including NFL debates, fantasy football, funny moments, and best segments.
• Short-Form: 15–20 vertical videos per week formatted for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook Reels.

First clips should generally be delivered within 24–48 hours of each livestream, with the remaining content completed as per an agreed schedule.

Compensation

Monthly salary of $1,250, along with the opportunity to earn a $250 monthly performance bonus based on meeting weekly deliverables and producing content that reaches 10,000+ views.

Schedule

This is a remote freelance/contract position that requires a commitment throughout the NFL season (Sept-Feb). The work can largely be completed on your own schedule, but adherence to deadlines is essential.
