Job Description

This is a paid freelance remote position at ScreenRant, the #1 entertainment website, which publishes breaking news and exclusives on blockbuster movies, TV shows, comic books, and other forms of entertainment. The role does not involve video production, video editing, screenwriting, or writing reviews. Interested candidates should review their familiarity with ScreenRant’s range of topics before applying and include how their knowledge will complement Screen Rant’s coverage in their cover letter.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in senior writing and editing roles (digital publications, entertainment content).
• An understanding of feature content.
• Expert knowledge of Classic TV shows.
• Quick learner with a strong sense of urgency.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Ability to write articles free of typos and grammatical errors.

Your Responsibilities

• Write, edit and publish Classic TV features articles daily.
• Participate in writer development by providing feedback and direction.
• Work with new writers to develop their skills and help them adapt to Screen Rant’s standards.
• Ideate topics daily on major classic TV shows, including Star Trek, Sitcoms, Crime, and Prestige Dramas, among other topics.
• Develop content plans for upcoming major releases.
• Attend meetings and come prepared with notes and analyses.
