Job Description

We are a content production agency based in Wilmington, Delaware, looking for a Freelance Video Editor specializing in short form content. The job involves editing Reels, brand videos, and event content for local businesses and restaurants. The ideal candidate should know how to turn raw footage into engaging content while understanding pacing, clean cuts, sound synchronization, caption styling, and color grading. The role starts with one contract and can grow to multiple contracts as we scale.

Requirements

• Proficient in Premiere Pro and/or CapCut; both preferred.
• Ability to work with and apply LUTs.
• Skilled in color grading log and flat footage.
• Experience with adding transitions and effects intentionally.
• Capability to synchronize and incorporate trending audio and sounds.
• Understanding of caption styling (font, placement, timing, and readability).
• Comfortable editing both short form and occasional longer form content.
• Experience specifically in editing Reels and TikTok content.
• Ability to organize all edited videos in clearly labeled folders before delivery.
• Must provide a turnaround of no longer than 10 days per contract.
• Ability to manage multiple client styles simultaneously.
• Open to feedback and quick to implement revisions.
• Active on Instagram, with handle required for application.
• Must submit 5 examples of short form work (Reels or TikTok only).
• Mention average turnaround time per video in the application.
• Knowledge of After Effects and Final Cut Pro is a plus.

Compensation and Work Details

Job Type: Freelance Contract with Retainer Potential

Pay: $400 per contract for 30 edited videos, with the potential to increase with more clients.

Location: Remote

Turnaround time is strictly 10 days per contract from footage received to final delivery.
