Job Description

C4 Productions is looking for an Entry- to Mid-Level Video Editor / Social Content Editor to join our growing production team. We specialize in automotive, motorsports, branded content, social media, and long-form storytelling. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation, can step into existing projects, understand creative direction, and turn raw footage into polished, engaging content independently. The role involves editing various types of content, including long-form YouTube videos, social media clips, and interviews.

Requirements

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

• Experience editing both long-form and short-form video
• Solid proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Working knowledge of the broader Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with DaVinci Resolve is a plus
• Ability to work independently once a project’s goals are established
• Good editorial judgment and storytelling instincts
• Ability to identify compelling moments from extensive footage
• Sound understanding of pacing, music selection, narrative structure, and creative decision-making
• Basic color correction knowledge and experience with Log footage
• Understanding of platform-specific editing styles for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
• Strong organizational skills for managing large projects and footage
• Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines

Social Media Knowledge

An understanding of modern social content editing principles is ideal, including:

• Strong opening hooks
• Audience retention techniques
• Pacing and pattern interrupts
• Captioning and on-screen text
• Platform-specific editing styles
• Current social media trends
• Meme and cultural awareness
• Short-form clip creation from long-form content

Technical Requirements

Applicants must have their own PC or Mac workstation capable of editing demanding 4K video projects. They should handle various footage types including 4K, Log, RAW, and high-bitrate media. A high-speed SSD or editing storage is preferred, although C4 Productions can provide project drives when necessary. Footage will be transferred via physical hard-drive handoffs rather than internet transfers.

Location

Applicants must be located in Colorado, preferably near Colorado Springs. The position can be remote or hybrid, but reliable transportation is required for project-drive handoffs and occasional in-person collaboration.

Additional Skills That Are a Plus

Valuable but not mandatory skills include:

• Knowledge of automotive or motorsports
• Experience with After Effects and motion graphics
• Skills in compositing, motion tracking, and audio cleanup
• Thumbnail or graphic design experience

The Type of Editor We’re Looking For

We seek an editor who can become increasingly independent while learning our projects and creative standards. The right candidate should be able to make creative decisions and bring thoughtful edits once they are informed about the project’s scope and objectives.

Compensation & Schedule

The position offers $15-$30/hour depending on experience and capacity, aimed for a workload of approximately 20-30 hours per week, with flexibility based on production volume. Candidates should be prepared to start as soon as possible.
