Jamlaeng – Short Artistic Dance Film

Filmmaker is needed in Eastbourne, United Kingdom.

I’m an independent dance artist based in East Sussex looking for a filmmaker to shoot and edit a 4–5 minute artistic dance film. The film will combine Thai classical dance, Thai puppetry, Muay Thai and ballet, ending with a contemporary section that brings these influences together. I need cinematic camera work with close-ups, varied angles, movement through the frame and creative editing, rather than a straightforward recording of a performance.

Filming will take place on one of 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 21, 22 or 23 September in Eastbourne or Brighton, with applicants able to travel considered. I would ideally like a first edit by 24–25 September, one round of revisions, and final delivery by 27 September 2026. Please include editing and, if possible, provide usable raw footage.

Budget range:
Up to £500

I’m particularly interested in a cinematic style that uses close-ups, changing camera angles, movement through frame and creative editing, rather than simply documenting a stage performance. The final film should feel intimate, visually expressive and choreographed for camera.
