Darrall Macqueen is seeking a Senior Toon Boom Rigger and Asset Artist for part-time work from October to December. The role is remote, with occasional studio sessions in London, and applicants willing to travel are welcome. You will lead the photoreal animal character pipeline, preparing 2D photo assets in Adobe Photoshop and assembling full cut-out puppets in Toon Boom Harmony.
You will create orthographic turnarounds and camera specifications for an animal reference photoshoot, then ingest and curate hero plates, complete layer breakdowns and joint under-painting, set up dialogue phonemes, and build robust multi-angle rigs for downstream neural video passes. You should have expert Toon Boom Harmony rigging skills, including Node View and deformers, along with strong Photoshop retouching skills and experience creating accurate character turnarounds and anticipating joint articulation limits.
