I am looking for a remote music and audio mentor to provide one-to-one coaching in FL Studio, focused on professional rap vocal recording, mixing, and mastering. I have recorded and mixed my own vocals for many years and recently moved from Adobe Audition to FL Studio All Plugins Edition. I use a Shure SM7dB microphone, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen interface, and Shure SRH840A headphones.

I want practical guidance on session setup, gain staging, vocal recording, editing and comping, pitch correction, EQ, compression, de-essing, saturation, effects, routing, automation, vocal mixing, and final mastering. The focus is on working with finished beats rather than producing instrumentals. I would like feedback on my recordings and mixes to help me achieve release-ready rap vocals for platforms such as YouTube and Spotify.

My name is Bader, and my artist nickname is Assassin. I have a YouTube channel called Assassin Q8, in case you would like to check out some of my previous work and get an idea of my style and background as a rapper. I’ve been rapping since 2008, and throughout my entire journey I have always recorded and engineered my own vocals myself, mainly using Adobe Audition 1.5. My presence on YouTube has never been fully consistent. I used to disappear for long periods and then come back again. A big part of my earlier presence was actually during the forum era, because I started rapping before Arabic rap fully shifted toward YouTube and modern social media platforms. Now I’m returning to music again with a much more serious and professional approach, and I want to build my recording, mixing, and mastering skills to a much higher level than before. Music production and audio engineering standards have developed a lot over the years, and Adobe Audition 1.5 no longer gives me everything I need for the level of vocal recording, mixing, and mastering I’m aiming for today. Because of that, I recently moved to FL Studio and purchased the FL Studio All Plugins Edition.
