About the client
Moving Grounds Collective is a London-based ESEA-led creative collective founded by actor-producer Shannon Yuen, creating theatre, screen and interdisciplinary work that centres Asian stories and artists. We are currently producing Romeo & Juliet in Kathmandu Valley, an all-Asian production that relocates Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet to Nepal. The production explores love, conflict, community and political upheaval through the context of Nepal’s history, bringing together an Asian cast and creative team. The production previously formed part of the Lambeth Fringe and we are now developing and presenting the work again at Golden Goose Theatre on 6 October 2026. Sound is particularly important to the production. We use radio and recorded audio as part of the storytelling, creating a sense of the wider political and social world beyond the stage. We’re looking to collaborate with experienced creatives who are excited by theatre, culturally specific storytelling and working within a collaborative, emerging production team. We value clear communication, reliability and a genuine interest in contributing creatively to the work.
