Screenwriter for Dramatic Short Film

Screenwriter is needed in Milwaukee, United States.

I am seeking a screenwriter for a 20–30 minute dramatic short film, The Winner Takes It All, part of my larger creative project, The Dream Machine. The story is largely dialogue-free and visually driven, following two former lovers: she moves on to build a happy life, while he becomes successful and wealthy but continues to long for her.

I have a clear creative vision and need a writer who can turn it into a cinematic screenplay while collaborating closely with me. The film should focus on visual storytelling and emotionally layered characters, allowing the audience to interpret the story without over-explanation.

About the client
I’m an emerging filmmaker building my first short film as part of my larger creative project, The Dream Machine. I’m passionate about visual storytelling, emotionally layered characters, and films that trust the audience to feel and interpret rather than over-explain. This project is especially personal to me, and I have a clear creative vision for the story while looking for a screenwriter to help bring that vision to life.
