Job Description

Fox News Media is seeking a Freelance Video Editor to create highly creative, technically sound content for Fox News platforms. The role requires adaptability, collaboration, quick decision-making, and creative problem-solving in a fast-paced news environment.

The editor will work across a range of programs and platforms, producing distinctive, stylized content under tight deadlines. Responsibilities include:

• Editing video content and news packages for multiple platforms.
• Working independently or collaboratively while maintaining high productivity.
• Transforming raw footage into dynamic, broadcast-quality content, often within a 24-hour breaking news cycle.
• Reviewing audio and video to identify and resolve technical or editorial issues before content airs.
• Delivering accurate, polished work under demanding deadlines.

The position requires availability for 24–32 hours per week, including flexibility for early mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Passion for news and strong knowledge of current events.
• Demonstrated editorial news judgment and broadcast experience.
• Expertise in non-linear editing with Adobe Premiere Pro, including the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Ability to create dynamic news packages and broadcast-quality content under tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.
• Knowledge of Boris and Red Giant plug-ins.
• Creative, enthusiastic, adaptable, and solution-oriented approach.
• Flexible schedule, including availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
• Resume and a link to a video editing reel.

Compensation

The pay rate for this role is $30.00–$40.00 per hour. The final offer may vary based on education, skills, experience, and location.
