Job Description

We are seeking a talented and personable Live Sketch Artist to create stylish, expressive watercolor portraits for guests at live events, including brand activations, weddings, corporate events, and private parties in the Dallas area.

The role involves working in fast-paced, social environments while engaging professionally with guests, clients, event planners, and team members. The successful candidate will represent the brand with creativity, enthusiasm, and professionalism.

• Create live watercolor portraits from photo references within set timeframes
• Maintain an illustration style consistent with the brand aesthetic
• Set up and break down the illustration station efficiently
• Collaborate with event planners and other team members
• Work confidently and professionally in front of groups

Requirements

• Strong drawing and illustration skills; live sketching experience is preferred
• Ability to sketch quickly and accurately from photo references
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, adaptable, and comfortable working at live events
• Ability to travel to event locations as required
• Availability to work Friday and Saturday evenings
• Portfolio demonstrating illustration work; live sketching samples are a plus

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with live event sketching or other guest-facing art services
• Knowledge of fashion silhouettes, fabrics, and proportions
• Experience using markers, watercolor, ink, or digital illustration tools

Additional Information

Location: On-site at events throughout the Dallas area, varying by booking.

Position type: Freelance, contract, event-based, and very part-time.

Compensation: From $100.00 per hour, with competitive event-based or hourly pay depending on experience. Opportunities may be available for recurring bookings and future growth with the brand.
