Creative Director for Cinematic YouTube Documentary Visual System
Develop a fresh, scalable visual direction for an established physician and sexologist’s YouTube channel. The goal is to evolve beyond talking-head videos into distinctive, colorful, cinematic documentary-style explainers covering medicine, sexual health, science, relationships, and wellness.
Define the show’s visual language, including an animation and motion-graphics system that integrates live action, scientific concepts, archival or illustrative elements, and story-driven editing. The work should feel original rather than a standard Vox-style explainer, while taking inspiration from the storytelling ambition of channels such as Howtown and Johnny Harris.
Please bring strong creative-direction, video-editing, and motion-design experience for YouTube. Initial work will establish the design approach and may lead to follow-up collaboration on future episodes.
Budget range:
Large project ($3,000 – 5,000 USD)

About the client
We have a small YouTube channel with 1.5million subscribers. I am the fave of the brand. Our videos are always talking heads - I am boring myself just to get views. I want to elevate the channel and do documentary style explainer videos that push the needle on sex, relationships, wellness, etc.
