Job Description

Alt Super Store is seeking a part-time Social Media Content Creator to manage the brand’s day-to-day presence on Instagram and TikTok. Reporting to the Brand Manager, this role will create engaging content, build the online community, and help shape the social media strategy during a new channel refresh.

The position combines creative production with organization and community management. Responsibilities include:

• Planning, filming, and editing short-form videos and photos featuring products, trends, behind-the-scenes content, and product education
• Writing captions and managing the social media content calendar
• Responding to comments and direct messages while engaging with relevant accounts and community members
• Monitoring engagement, reach, follower growth, and content performance
• Identifying relevant trends, sounds, and content formats
• Capturing content at in-person shoots, events, and livestream-related activities
• Supporting influencer and user-generated content outreach as needed

Requirements

• Experience managing Instagram and TikTok for a brand, as a freelancer, or through personal accounts, with examples of results or work to share
• Strong short-form video filming and editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Premiere Rush, or native social media apps
• Ability to write in a confident, authentic, and conversational brand voice
• Self-motivated and able to meet posting deadlines with minimal supervision
• Based in or near Los Angeles and available to attend in-person shoots and events
• Comfortable appearing on camera
• Experience with alternative products, age-restricted brands, or platform content policies is preferred

Compensation and Schedule

• Part-time internship role
• 10–20 hours per week with a flexible schedule
• Some set weekly hours required for live posting and team check-ins
• Pay: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience

Location

Hybrid remote role based in the Los Angeles area, with the listed work location in Commerce, California.
