Job Description

Murj is seeking a resourceful and highly organised Junior Graphic Designer to support the creation, maintenance, and consistent use of the company’s brand across the organisation. The role focuses on building reusable brand assets, templates, and creative resources that help teams work efficiently and present Murj consistently.

Working with the Head of Graphic Design and Director of Marketing, the Junior Graphic Designer will support presentations, marketing collateral, social media graphics, video content, print materials, website projects, and other cross-functional initiatives. The role primarily works within Murj’s existing visual identity while contributing ideas to improve the brand and creative workflow.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organising and maintaining Murj’s shared library of graphics, templates, presentations, video elements, and other creative assets.
  • Establishing practical systems for asset naming, version control, storage, distribution, and reuse.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of brand guidelines, templates, and internal creative tools.
  • Designing presentations, campaign graphics, sales and marketing collateral, and other branded materials.
  • Creating on-brand graphics for social media and digital campaigns.
  • Editing and preparing video content, including titles, graphic elements, and simple motion treatments.
  • Producing polished, print-ready materials that meet technical and production requirements.
  • Exploring AI-enabled creative tools and workflow improvements while maintaining quality, accuracy, and brand consistency.
  • Providing visual assets and design support for website work and other special projects.

Requirements

  • Graphic design experience demonstrated through a strong portfolio, internships, freelance work, or comparable projects.
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and detail across digital and print design.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Experience creating and refining presentations in PowerPoint or Google Slides.
  • Experience working with shared asset libraries or digital asset-management systems.
  • Working knowledge of print-production requirements and file preparation.
  • Strong organisational skills and an interest in creating reusable systems for assets and templates.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, respond to feedback, and complete work to a high standard.
  • Resourcefulness and curiosity when learning unfamiliar tools or solving new design problems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with non-design stakeholders while protecting brand consistency.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt across presentations, social graphics, video, print, and asset management.

Desirable Experience

  • Two to three years of relevant graphic design experience.
  • Motion graphics or animation experience, particularly with After Effects.
  • Video editing experience using Premiere Pro or a comparable tool.
  • Familiarity with Figma, website design, or digital design systems.
  • Experience with AI-assisted creative tools and responsible creative-use practices.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Experience in healthcare, SaaS, or another technical industry.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Enjoys organisation, clear naming conventions, and transforming one-off designs into scalable resources.
  • Combines strong visual fundamentals with a systems-oriented mindset.
  • Can move comfortably between different creative formats without losing attention to detail.
  • Is proactive, adaptable, and willing to research and experiment to find solutions.
  • Is interested in modern creative workflows, automation, and responsible use of AI tools.
