Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer for a fully remote contractor position with an international organization. The role focuses on delivering enterprise-scale ServiceNow ITSM solutions and implementing AI-powered, automated service management capabilities.

The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end delivery of ServiceNow ITSM initiatives, including solution design, development, automation, Now Assist and GenAI implementation, integrations, testing, deployment, operational support and technical leadership.

• Design, develop, configure and enhance ServiceNow ITSM solutions across Incident, Change, Request, Problem and Knowledge Management.
• Build and maintain workflows, Flow Designer automations, SLAs, notifications, approvals and reusable platform components.
• Lead ITSM automation initiatives using Flow Designer, Integration Hub, orchestration and intelligent ticket handling.
• Implement and optimize Now Assist and GenAI capabilities, including AI use cases, skills, prompt design, testing, governance and adoption.
• Develop and maintain Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Scripted REST APIs and integrations.
• Design secure, scalable and maintainable integrations with enterprise applications using REST APIs and modern integration patterns.
• Support the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, technical design, development, SIT/UAT, deployment, hypercare and production support.
• Provide technical leadership through peer reviews, governance, estimation, risk assessment, documentation and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex, enterprise-scale ServiceNow ITSM implementations.
• Proven production experience implementing multiple ServiceNow Now Assist capabilities and skills.
• Experience defining adoption and governance strategies for AI-enabled ITSM solutions.
• Strong experience with ITSM automation across Incident, Request Fulfilment, Change and Knowledge Management.
• Hands-on experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, intelligent routing, approvals and workflow automation.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, development standards and best practices.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Certifications

Mandatory:

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM (CIS-ITSM).

Preferred:

• Implementer – Now Assist for ITSM.
• ServiceNow GenAI or other AI-related certifications.
• Agentic AI-related certifications, where available.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Experience implementing Agentic AI solutions within ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of AI Agents, Agentic AI frameworks and Autonomous Workforce capabilities.
• Experience with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
• Experience with ServiceNow EA, SPM, CMDB, ITOM or ITAM modules.

Work Arrangement

• Fully remote position.
