10 years ago, I worked on this animation project for 17 months, working 16 to 20 hour days. I worked with a friend who designed the characters, sketches, and the proceed to storyboard the entire animation. From there modelling each character, house and prop. The most challenging part was the character rigging process for over 13 characters and cloth simulation added to which was the monumental task of animating every character and set in each scene.
While this was ongoing, the studio was recording voices for each character and developing face morphs for talking.
Lighting and rendering was interesting as it took 30 seconds per frame for about 2 weeks of rendering. The editing process involved adding dialogue, foley and sound track.
This was my first attempt in animation and looking forward to new projects, feel free to get in touch.
Collaborating with key government departments, we scripted, planned and directed a short documentary on the success stories of Ajira, a government program that brought online jobs to rural areas.
Over the cause of several weeks, we traveled to the deepest parts of one of Kenya’s larger constituencies and documented different stories for the documentary that was well received by the ministry.

We were privileged to win a pitch to for photography and created a brand film for Air Kenya. This involved consulting with the airline and creating a unique visual style and working with a team of 4, from make up, lighting and sound.
We successfully delivered a fresh catalogue of images featuring all their divisions and management team.
To show the experience of ballooning over the Kilimanjaro Range and the Amboseli national park is a bucket list item. Capturing the experience from below and above paints a thorough picture of this experience and bring you close to the team who make it happen.
We made a series of digital content and a short film for the Camp in the greater Amboseli National Park. This project involved a lot of planning to carefully understand what the camp had to offer and bring it to life in the
video during a 5 day shoot.
This necessitated the need for a couple to be our models, helping us bring the story to life through a human perspective. From the choice of music, to the selection of edits, the brand film represents the full camp experience.
As the agency of record during the first years of operation, we were privileged to have helped establish the presence one of Kenya’s premier Destination malls.
Working with the marketing and sales teams, we developed communications strategies and media plans to drive footfall to the malls stores and outlets. The communication was both internal and external involving a wide selection of skills from our team to make sure we achieved a cohesive message.
Our work to introduce the all new Safari Centre mall in Naivasha. We conceptualized, produced and directed all the content in the video.
Alibhai Shariff & Sons Limited is a heritage brand with over 100 years of experience in the hardware and sanitaryware space.
Our role involved understanding the portfolio of international brands and communicating their product offerings on social media with the objective of driving leads and generating sales. This involved creating monthly content calendars that featured content geared to various segments of the business such as power tools, wheelbarrows, tiles and pressure washing machines etc.
The task was monumental with each segment having unique talking points for each brand and hundreds of products with each brand. For effective communication we began with photography to drive the relevance of the content, we then worked with the brand managers to develop tactical campaigns and offers that drove sales and awareness; all this efforts came together in the digital media plan that targeted unique audiences simultaneously leading back to inquiries and direct sales.
As a result, the pages saw constant growth over the period of our contract and consistent leads and sales in all segments of their product portfolio.
Together for Better foundation approached us to help amplify their CSR efforts towards driving donations from their global benefactors.
The foundation is on a mission to provide reusable sanitary pads and promoting literacy through their library initiative. So far, the foundation has successfully provided over 123, 000 sanitary pads and over 36,000 books all over Kenya.
Our role begun with understanding the vision of the founder and the future ambitions and goals for the foundation. From thereon we delved into understanding the Menstrual Hygiene Management and the impact reusable sanitary pads have in improving the quality of life for women and girls especially in rural and marginalised communities.
We also took the time to understand the value of books as a means of empowerment. Equipped with this knowledge we created and wrote content that has visible on the website. Part of the consideration was to ensure our content worked for search engines, bringing the foundation to the top rankings.
We then proceeded to work with the client to shoot photography content. After that we worked to integrate an online card payment system from I & M bank, ensuring secure donations go straight to the foundation’s account and thereby eliminating the need for expensive third-party payment systems and commissions.
Working with the accomplished and international Chef Hector Boo, we collaborated to craft and inspired menu design for Dari Restaurant in Karen. This effort took over 2 days of photography and culminated on a beautifully designed and appetizing menu.
Vintz Plastics is a plastics recycling and manufacturing social enterprise with facilities that operate with a 450 tonnes recycling capacity.
As the world moves towards sustainability and the circular economy, we were approached to help Vintz Plastics position themselves in the sector. The brief begun with a rebranding exercise. This was a consultative process inline with the future objectives of the company. The logo was driven by the commitment of the company towards driving innovation in sustainability, restoration of the environment, leading the way in the circular economy, and the 7Rs of recycling.
With the logo approved we implemented a visual system and creative direction to effectively communicate the products and services and provide a better brand image for the company and let it stand out in the plastics and manufacturing sectors.
From there we worked with insights from the client to build forward thinking content for the website that drove interest, awareness and generated leads on their services and products.
