  • Turnaround: 2 days from content collation and sub-editing to approval-ready artwork
  • Scale: 13 pages (A4)
  • Content: 12 articles

Brief

Take a collection of contributions submitted as Microsoft Word Documents, and collate them into a fully designed A4 newsletter. Final product must deliver a consistent, readable, brand-compliant publication suitable for a Senior Members audience, while supporting multiple article types across a full issue.

My role

Sole designer and producer, responsible for:

  • editorial layout and typesetting
  • brand compliance and visual consistency
  • copy sub-editing to fit space constraints and unify tone
  • creation of supporting editorial imagery (incl. one AI-generated illustration and one Illustrator image-trace style piece)

Deliverables

  • Full-colour A4 newsletter artwork (distributed both as a digiatl download and a physical version printed with CMYK offset lithography)
  • multi-page layout with varied article formats and layout variations
  • final approval-ready, accessible PDF

Tools used

  • Adobe Illustrator (editorial illustration, image-trace style artwork)
  • Adobe Firefly Image Generation (cyberpunk-style editorial classroom illustration)
  • Adobe InDesign (layout)
