    THE CHALLENGE A well-established, one-person judo business had a functional but outdated website. While it was performing well in search rankings, the site's design and structure were ten years old and limited the owner's ability to grow. The primary goals were to modernise the site, improve the user experience, and create a scalable digital foundation for future marketing efforts—all without jeopardising the existing SEO ranking. MY SOLUTION Strategic Planning After meeting the client to discuss his business goals., I devised a plan that looked to maximise use of his existing content and search engine results, with a fresh new look to his website. The entire site's page hierarchy was restructured, splitting the services page into multiple, geo-specific locations. This allowed each page to be individually optimised, creating a stronger signal for local search rankings. Web Development & Design The entire site was rebuilt with WordPress and Elementor, providing a modern, secure, and easy-to-manage platform. The site's content was rewritten to be more concise and readable, enhancing the user experience. Analytics & Content Strategy Google Analytics was set up to track website traffic, a blog was added and training given on how to write engaging blog content. Advanced SEO & User Experience. An efficient internal linking strategy was devised, together with a detailed backlink strategy, to earn and develop brand authority and trust. THE OUTCOME My client was extremely happy with the final outcome. His website not only looks and feels modern but is now a powerful tool for business growth. The strategic SEO improvements, combined with the new analytics and content capabilities, provide a scalable solution for attracting new customers and retaining existing ones.

The business recruited local apprentices as digital marketers, to help support local development of skills, opportunities and growth. MY SOLUTION Campaign Management I created and managed end-to-end digital campaigns for local SMEs, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes. I used platforms like Meta Business Suite, HubSpot, and others to manage all aspects of their campaigns. Client engagement was central to operations; ensuring actionable strategies met with key expectations and business growth plans. Team Leadership & Development I recruited and personally mentored small teams of local trainees to learn and oversee campaign management, providing a collaborative environment that fostered creative, innovative thinking and skills development. Performance Monitoring As well as overseeing the personal development of each trainee within the team, I also oversaw tracking of campaign performance to ensure clients were consistently provided with live, up-to-date reports. Comprehensive reporting highlighted key successes observed, as well as trends, patterns and metrics to indicate customer intent, emotional connection, message impact and reactions. THE OUTCOME The campaigns I managed consistently exceeded industry benchmarks, with a high email click-through rate (CTR) of 73% and social engagement rates between 73-85%. These strong metrics demonstrated a clear return on investment, which led to high client retention and a positive reputation in the local market.

The provision needed a professional brand identity, a functional website to serve as the main business hub and an efficient social media strategy with regular scheduled content. The goal was to attract new audiences, whilst retaining existing clients, and provide a platform for online bookings, product sales, and content distribution. MY SOLUTION Web Development I personally oversaw the design and build of a mobile responsive website using WordPress, WooCommerce, Amelia Scheduling and Elementor page builder. The site was designed to be a seamless, professional experience for both the business and its customers. I handled everything from the initial planning of the sitemap and wireframes to the final design and launch. Content Creation I created a content plan for their social media platforms, whilst maintaining consistent branding and messaging across all touch-points. I managed a small team of creatives and marketers to execute frequent digital campaigns across email, PPC, social media, and SEO. This involved holding regular strategy meetings, co-ordinating activities, goal-setting, and close monitoring and the overall production process.
