Since 2017, I’ve been working on consumer-facing, enterprise-level products built with React.js. Throughout these projects, UX and design have been major considerations—whether I’m collaborating with a designer, contributing design input myself, or working within cross-functional teams. At Comcast Business, I helped rebuild the entire Shop/Buy application from scratch as two distinct single-page applications. This was done within a highly Agile team using React (with Hooks and the Context API), Redux, TypeScript, and SCSS on the frontend, integrated with a .NET backend. The product was scaled to support millions of users across the country. I later joined Medtronic, where I built a robotic platform software application from the ground up. The frontend stack included React (with Hooks), TypeScript, Vite, Electron, MUI, Redux Toolkit (RTK), and RTK Query for middleware, with a Python backend. The application was highly interactive, featuring extensive touch-screen functionality and real-time data streaming via WebSockets. I worked closely with backend developers to plan and implement features and had significant autonomy in designing the frontend architecture. As the team had no dedicated designer, I also contributed to UX/UI flow creation and design discussions before building out features. It’s been a great pleasure working on these products over the years. I’m proud of what we accomplished and the business value we delivered.
