Hi, I’m Andra Smith, a generalist in 3D animation with a passion for modeling. I’m seeking opportunities in the entertainment industry to continue growing my skills and contribute to compelling visuals, especially in character and environment modeling. I earned a Bachelor of Creative Media from New Mexico State University, graduated with honors (GPA 3.87), and completed a year-long senior project, Cat-Tastrophe, using Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and DaVinci Resolve. I value teamwork, mentorship, and learning from collaborations, as reflected in my Girl Scouts leadership work and marching band experience.

    paper Cat-Tastrophe

“Cat-Tastrophe” was a year-long collaborative project to demonstrate skills learned from the Animation and Visual Effects program at New Mexico State University. “Cat-Tastrophe” was a short film about a witch’s cat familiar trying to get her attention in increasingly alarming ways. In the creation of this short film, Microsoft Word and Procreate were used to create the story, characters, and visual look. Maya was the main program used to create the characters and the environments and used to animate the short film. Substance Painter was used in the creation of the textures in the final film. To bring the story all together in one cohesive film, DaVinci Resolve was used to edit.
