Responsible for creating new apps from ground up. Maintains and contributes features to the company’s Android framework, a base repository that prevents devs from creating boilerplate code. The framework heavily uses Kotlin coroutines, dagger and navigation-component as core dependencies to create a functional, maintainable, and testable codebase. Responsible for onboarding new team members by creating a month-long onboarding process that lets devs be familiar with the development, and project management processes. Developed and built a mentorship curriculum to guide existing and rooky developers to upskill by curating content about current android tech, architecture, sdk updates. Introduced a process cleanup on repository branches, naming convention and branching strategies. Set up a CI/CD which improved efficiency of shipping and delivery of new features. Refactored a major feature (post creation, essentially 50% of the app) using new architecture. Set up new base classes to be reused on eventual refactor on other parts of the app which shifts from RxJava to Flow / coroutines. Introduced a use-case design pattern that allows business logic to be reused by other components.
