Hi, I’m Benjamin Laham, a Broadway keyboardist, composer, accompanist, and music director with a track record as a substitute on Wicked, an accomplished accompanist, and a versatile pit musician in conservatory productions and professional events. I studied composition at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and bring strong sight-reading and a wide stylistic palette to classical, jazz, gospel, funk, blues, and musical theatre idioms.
I have a Bachelor’s of Music from the Boston Conservatory in composition. Over the course of my compositional career, I’ve composed solo, chamber, vocal, and large ensemble works. Concerning arranging, I have arranged various theater numbers for piano/vocal, recently for the AMT Theater. Additionally, I’ve arranged for video-game orchestra, and I do my own MIDI mockups. I use Sibelius and Logic Pro for composing, as well as Native Instruments Komplete 15 and a KORG Kronos workstation.
My career spans audition rooms, conservatory productions, and a range of professional events, from accompanying Norm Lewis at a gala to Disney audition work. I thrive in rehearsals and on stage, collaborating with actors, instrumentalists, and conductors to support productions from rehearsal to curtain, and I’m dedicated to musical storytelling through sound.
