I am a Full-Stack Software Engineer with decades of programming and systems design experience. I believe that more testing in the development stage reduces crashes in production. I’ve designed and built many systems—from concept to coding—across multiple languages and databases. The most important aspect of designing a new system is upfront knowledge of the sub-programs (functions, procedures, routines) required, which demands a high level of expertise. In large-scale systems, each module should be thoroughly tested on its own before integration, so debugging after assembly is minimized.

Over the years I’ve worked with FORTRAN, PHP, C, and Perl, and have hands-on experience in IBM Mainframe VM/CMS environments. As an independent consultant since 2015, I’ve developed and sold several websites (BuildShoppingCart s.com, EmailDust.com, MultiWebsites.com, IsDataOk.com) using PHP, PERL, SQL, MySQL, HTML, and JavaScript. I’ve also built data-checking and skills-tracking tools and maintained an income/expense reporting system that used FORTRAN modules and FOCUS tables in a VM/CMS/REXX environment.
