EM is a non-profit employing and training adults with Autism in the digital arts (primarily animation and VFX), with clients including Paramount, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and CBS Sports. My work with the studio has been primarily focused on 2D design work (Visual Development (Character/prop/BG/etc) and motion graphics design, for short-form content (animated shorts, overlay animation, etc).

Second Sister is a graphic memoir by Sammy Fink, that tells the story of a girl named Chin Jui. During Japan's occupation of China, she and her family are forced to embark (on foot) across the country to survive. I was privileged enough to provide illustrations for this beautiful story. I utilized Photoshop and InDesign to create the cover and illustrations, replicating the organic line work and ink washes of traditional fare as much as possible (my primary influences were Alison Bechdel's 'Fun Home: A Family Tragicomedy', and Marjane Sartrapi's 'Persepolis' (both the graphic novel and animated film).

I served as one of two interns for 'TMNT: Mutant Mayhem,' produced by Nickelodeon Animation and Paramount Animation. I was mostly concerned with the artistic side of things -- that is, design work both for the film, and the collaborative 'zine' that all 'Nickterns' from all departments participated in. I also learned the ins and outs of production, pitching ideas, and organizational tasks that come with the creation of an animated project.
