I’ve always had a natural creativity when it comes to video editing and content creation. It really took shape during COVID, when my Grade 8 graduation was cancelled, and I was struggling mentally. My mom suggested I start a YouTube channel to share parts of my life, and that’s where everything began. Since then, I’ve developed a strong ability to edit videos in a way that feels both seamless and creative. Over time, I grew my YouTube channel to 5,000 subscribers and began gaining recognition from companies for the work I contributed to their content. One standout experience was creating a promotional video to increase interest in joining the Navy. For that project, I received the Bravo Zulu award—two of the three videos I produced ranked among the top three most engaged videos in Canada. Moments like that showed me that my creativity can have a real impact. At this point, I often describe video editing as something that comes as naturally to me as playing with LEGO—it’s intuitive, hands-on, and something I genuinely enjoy. I could list many reasons why I’m a strong candidate for a content creation and marketing role. Still, it comes down to this: you need someone whose creativity is both natural and effective, and who knows how to turn ideas into engaging content. That person is me, Daniel Akinbinu.
