I'm Sabika Qaisar, and I'm excited to apply for the Textile Designer role at Twine. Since moving to Canada, I’ve been eager to lean into my love for color, print, and pattern. In my previous role as Lead Senior Designer, I led the print team and developed seasonal print directions, collaborating with the design leadership to shape color stories and trend forecasting. I enjoy researching trends, color forecasts, and the emotional impact of color, and I love turning concepts into cohesive launches. I was responsible for selecting colors for each season, creating concept boards to set a clear direction, and guiding the full development-to-production process—from building prints to final production. I worked closely with production and color teams to ensure designs translate well to the final product, and I represented the print team in cross-functional meetings to contribute to broader creative discussions. Outside of work, I paint regularly and experiment with digitizing my artwork, a practice that continually feeds back into my design work.
