I am passionate about music, sound, and the technology that surrounds it, having been actively involved in playing and recording for over 40 years. This lifelong commitment has provided me with a wealth of experience across performance, recording, and technical practice.
My First-Class BSc (Hons) in Creative Music and Sound Technology and my recent MA distinction in Music Production and Sound Engineering have built on this foundation, giving me the opportunity to expand my expertise and critically refine my technical practice. These qualifications, together with my employment as a Music Technician, Music Technology Tutor, and Sound Technician at Greenhead Sixth Form College, enabled me to develop a strong knowledge of other creative industries, alongside skills in asset management, technical support, tutoring and teaching. As a studio engineer at Studio 1in12, I spent 21 years refining my expertise in studio recording, and production. The experience gained there continues to inform my current freelance work at Studio Black Cloud, where I focus on recording, mixing, mastering, post-production as well as live sound engineering. My references will confirm my reliability, strong work ethic, and an ability to learn quickly.
