I am a full-stack web developer focused closely on front-end development. For the past 12 years I have been a member of a small team at Telus, responsible for a complex web-driven knowledge base application called OneSource. It supports all employees, and is particularly useful for telephone sales agents and field technicians. The OneSource backbone is ColdFusion and Oracle, hosted within the Telus network and externally on Google Cloud. My contribution was the editing tools given to employee authors to generate articles, add images and documents, and manage those within a dashboard environment. An important aspect of this knowledge base app is the search engine, which I was responsible for managing and integrating. Over twelve years I delivered that process using Google Search Appliance, Attivio, LucidWorks and dotCMS, as well as writing Oracle SQL searches for sensitive data that was not permitted on external vendor sites. My experience in a small, highly successful team has been invaluable, working with disparate personalities on complex, time sensitive projects. Before that I have coded e-commerce and product showcase user interfaces using HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap, JSON, AJAX, REST and OData to consume web services, deliver typeahead search and create multilingual, animated experiences in retail and business- to-business websites. I can build to design specifications as well as develop from concept or wireframes.
