I'll be upfront: I'm currently a frontend developer, and I have zero professional experience running social media for a company. But I'm not coming in with nothing. As a developer I work with UX research, colour theory, and branding decisions daily, I design in Canva regularly, and I do quick market/competitor research before building anything, so I understand an audience before I design or write for them. More importantly: I write and manage my own LinkedIn presence, and it's grown to nearly 1,850 followers with real engagement on my posts. That's not a hobby, that's me applying content strategy, writing, and consistency to grow an audience from scratch, with no one telling me how. If you look at my profile, that's my answer to "can she market something." What I haven't done yet is do this professionally, for a brand that isn't my own, with a strategy and calendar behind it.
