I'm a young artist based in Paris. The majority of my work was shaped in the development of my thesis for the research master's degree in visual arts and contemporary creation at Paris 1 (Sorbonne University) My thesis aims to demonstrate that fiction applied to the forest is built upon real scientific foundations. Following this, one might ask whether the representation of a fictional forest can encourage ecological discourse. To achieve this objective, the fictional forest can be depicted through different lenses: firstly, as a spiritual place filled with symbolism, but also as the setting for a narrative, and finally as a vector for raising awareness through aesthetics and emotion. All of these facets can lead the viewer, via alternative means, to question the dangers threatening the forest as well as the stakes involved in its protection. Several hypotheses regarding this issue are proposed: The fictional forest serves as a mirror reflecting the ecological questions we face today. It also represents a space where possible futures can be experimented with. Fiction allows for the personification of the forest and the establishment of a dialogue with it, thereby enabling a critique of anthropocentrism. The fictional forest thus becomes a pedagogical tool that provides access to a more accessible understanding of ecological problems and the solutions allowing for its preservation. My practice isn't limited to this thesis topic, but from it, a coherent universe is being built. A product of all my influences and references, I try to depict a world in metamorphosis, with nature undergoing a profound transformation and blossoming. We notice the presence of an alternative fauna and flora, bearing familiar yet unidentifiable characteristics. Instagram _Email not available.
