paper Broadcast Graphics & Motion Design

Created broadcast graphics and branded motion content featured across major television networks including SKY, BBC, Channel 4 and a range of national and international broadcasters, including BAFTA-awarded productions.

The work involved designing and animating a variety of broadcast elements such as title cards, lower thirds, astons, wipes and on-screen graphics, ensuring each piece aligned with the visual identity and tone of the programme.

Projects required a strong understanding of broadcast design standards, clear visual hierarchy, and motion graphics workflows to produce graphics that were both visually engaging and technically ready for television delivery.

Designed and developed a range of Squarespace and custom-built websites for creative studios, cultural organisations and digital projects. Each website was created to balance strong visual design with performance, usability and storytelling.

Projects involved the full creative and technical process including website concept development, visual design, content production, and implementation. Alongside layout and user experience design, I produced supporting media such as videography, product photography, motion graphics and optimised written content to ensure each site communicated the brand clearly and effectively.

Where required, I developed custom HTML5 functionality and interactive elements, including GLTF-based 3D models, allowing users to explore spaces, products or environments directly within the website. All websites were built with SEO-ready structure, performance optimisation and responsive design, ensuring they function effectively across modern devices.

The goal across these projects was to create visually distinctive digital experiences that combine design craft, storytelling and interactive technology.

    paper Photorealistic 3D Product Visualisation

Created high-fidelity photorealistic 3D renders for product visualisation, focusing on accurate materials, lighting and composition to replicate real-world photography. The project involved modelling and texturing products with physically accurate materials, building studio-style lighting setups, and producing high-resolution imagery suitable for marketing, web and promotional use.

The goal was to create visually striking product imagery that could be used across digital campaigns and brand communications while maintaining a consistent and premium visual aesthetic.

    paper Gallus Glasgow

Gallus Glasgow is an interactive heritage experience that reimagines Thomas Sulman’s 1864 Bird’s Eye View of Glasgow through 3D animation, dynamic storytelling, and immersive sound design. Developed in partnership with Glasgow City Heritage Trust, the project transforms the iconic map into an engaging digital journey, exploring Glasgow’s Gilded Age through the eyes of an Irish immigrant family.

paper Virtual Production Car Rig Shoot

Technical Supervisor and VAD Technical Artist on a virtual production shoot designed to test and develop Nightsky Studios’ new car rig system ahead of use on the upcoming Shetland series. My role involved supporting the real-time production setup on stage and ensuring the environment performed reliably for camera. I also handled post-production work including visual effects, editing and colour grading.

paper TechSpec Conference Stage Visualisation – SEC

Developed a 3D visualisation for the main stage of the TechSpec conference at the SEC, helping the client explore the visual direction for the event environment before production. The concept focused on creating a dark, atmospheric stage design using bespoke visuals, lighting and volumetric effects to enhance the scale and mood of the space.

The visualisation helped communicate how the stage environment would feel from the audience perspective while supporting the conference’s technical and cinematic aesthetic.

paper Will Knight Exhibition – Experiential Design & Installation

Led the full creative design for an exhibition showcasing the work of artist Will Knight. The project involved developing the exhibition identity, including branding, graphic design and spatial layout, alongside the creation of interactive and animated elements designed to engage visitors throughout the experience.

I produced mood boards and 3D visualisations to help communicate the exhibition concept and visitor journey, and worked closely with the client during development. I also coordinated the on-site build and installation, ensuring the final environment matched the intended design and atmosphere.

paper Ten Years of the Scottish Album of the Year Award

To celebrate ten years of the Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award, SUUM Studio created a dynamic 3D animated explainer and title sequence, showcasing the award’s impact on Scotland’s creative industries. Commissioned by Inner Ear for BBC Scotland, the animation captures a decade of achievements, iconic artists, and the award’s deep connection to Scotland’s arts scene.

Using the award’s signature hexagonal motif, we designed a floating mobile of interconnected hexagons, each representing a key moment from 2012 to 2021. As they rotated, they revealed:

3D models of the bespoke SAY Award trophies, handcrafted annually by Scottish designers.

Live event footage, celebrating the energy and significance of each year’s ceremony.

Meticulously detailed 3D models of iconic venues, including Usher Hall, Edinburgh, Paisley Town Hall, Film City Glasgow, and the legendary Barrowland Ballroom.

Rendered with photoreal materials, our animation blends polished metal, vibrant neon lighting, and translucent textures, reflecting the bold, contemporary spirit of Scotland’s music scene. More than just an explainer, the piece serves as a standalone cinematic tribute, honouring the award’s decade-long commitment to amplifying Scottish music talent.
