My name is Kitty and I'm a musician who specialises in music technology, including music production, mixing and mastering, sound engineering, live sound, studio recording, composition, and songwriting. My expertise covers a plethora of musical genres, including classical, jazz, funk, soul, electronic, indie, experimental, and of course pop. My journey began in classical music as a singer and clarinettist; I adored singing German lieder and French art song, and graduated from my undergrad degree with First Class honours majoring in Vocal Performance. Then I started exploring more jazz and R&B with my vocals and on the piano and saxophone, loving artists from Nina Simone to Hiatus Kaiyote. I also taught myself guitar at a young age, and enjoy acoustic songwriting as a lyricist. As for composing and producing, I spent the last six years in higher education exploring electronic music and scoring for film and video games (as well as doing plenty of mixing and mastering of course!) I have done professional sound engineering for the last 1-2 years, covering live sound engineering for gigs of various genres of music, poetry and burlesque. I also have experience as a producer for my own original songs and for other artists' songs in indie pop, jazz and funk.
