    uniE613 When The World Stopped (Children's Book Illustration)
    This is a book I've Illustrated as a University project during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. The intention of the project was to capture and point out some of the simple and beautiful things that also came to the surface in a time of collective struggle. The style is very much an illustrative exploration and experimentation of different mediums that I wanted to integrate as a whole to communicate the feel of the book. This includes a blend of acrylic and watercolor paintings, ink drawings, digital scans of real plants, as well as cutouts of my own photography (as seen in the mountains and some of the textures).     This poster was designed and illustrated for a themed tented camp at Afrikaburn 2023. The poster depicts a traditional "Dakini", the Tibetan representation of the Divine Feminine, dancing with two lions. The illustration is a combination of digitally- as well as hand drawn elements, alongside a montage of real flower cutouts.     uniE613 Infographic Poster: Animism as Normative Consciousness
    AR Infographic Poster Design This is an extension of the "Magik" brand, which formed part of my final year thesis work in university. My thesis is a deep dive into the role of the artist and designer in contemporary society and what it means to design for a future, more-than-human world that benefits all life. My work looks deeply into ancient practices, philosophies and indigenous knowledge systems. My style approach has been very experimental and explorative: challenging conventional materials and encouraging the viewer to rethink the way we see matter, as well as the world around us. A lot of fun went into this! This infographic poster visually represents an historical timeline of human history in the context of animism. I've explored working with physical natural matter such as photographing rocks, as well as interesting visuals created by photographing watercolor paint drops that dissolve into water. This experimental process unfolded into these beautifully intricate "water webs" as seen on the poster. A prominent theme of this entire project has been to "rethink matter", and to shift the designer's role from being the maker - to only become the facilitator for matter to make its own marks. The final poster outcome was developed into an interactive augmented reality poster, which revealed another layer of information onto the infographic. #graphicdesigner #posterdesign #infographicdesign…

    This is another university project I've done exploring Information Design through creating an interactive and illustrative Infographic poster. In line with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 11, these posters examine the impact that Agricultural farming (in particular the meat-industry) has on the sustainability of the world’s air quality and environmental growth. One of the biggest drivers of deforestation and air quality, is the expansion of livestock farming to feed a growing population whose diet is increasingly meat-rich. Ultimately, these posters are intented to create awareness and to spark change. During the design process for this project, I've attempted to explore with multimodality as much as possible.
