Pray As You Go app UI/UX

Pray As You Go underwent a complete rebuild - new codebase, new design system, new visual identity. My role as in-house visual designer was to bridge the gap between wire frame with branding work, communicating with the development team, translating visual identity into a fully functioning app Ul.
With the visual identity defined, my task was to bring it to life inside the app-populating every screen with the right colours, fonts and imagery.
I worked screen by screen through the wireframes, making each element decision and ensuring the brand felt cohesive at every interaction point.
I documented a design system for our developers- covering the full colour palette, type scale, component rules and spacing. This ensured consistency was maintained as the team grew and features were built by multiple people.
Every colour decision in the app went through a contrast audit. I tested each foreground/background pairing against WCAG AA and AAA standards, documenting passes, failures, and workarounds - ensuring the app was usable for people with visual impairments.
I was asked to design pages that accommodate videos for the app - handling playback controls, progress tracking, accessibility labels and layout across different screen states. The feature was ultimately not continued, but the design work was completed in full.
I was asked to design Bible reading functionality into the app - including a book/chapter picker, reading view, and integration with the existing prayer content flow. The feature was discontinued before development, but | completed the full Ul design.
