With nearly eight years of experience in the Adobe Creative Suite, I have created a wide variety of graphic design pieces, including branding, packaging, editorials, and emails. I am interested in and open to exploring other areas of graphic design. I am adaptable and quick to generate ideas. I discovered my passion for graphic design by being encouraged to take on projects, including design methods I had not previously encountered.

Industry Experience

Media & Entertainment, Other
    Visage

The Visage Hotel is aimed primarily at younger people, aged 20-50. It utilises modern and vibrant colours and aesthetics to bring about a refreshing look to the brand. Elements of the brand that can be taken home by the customers, like bags and pens, are deliberately designed to be simple so that they fit in well outside the hotel.

    Heritage Vault

Brand Identity for Heritage Vault, an art museum aimed at people who are interested in art history and the cultures that influence ancient art. Experts and amateurs alike can benefit from the knowledge given out.

This is not a real brand, and all copy and images have been taken from the British Museum’s Ancient India: living traditions exhibition to visualise the advertising and packaging for the brand.

    Pure Impact

Brand identity for Pure Impact Gym. Aimed at active and fitness-conscious adults aged 22–38 years old, they are always seeking ways to optimise their routines. The bold, sans-serif font functions to reinforce the name of the gym. This is further done with the use of black and white throughout the brand. The light purple functions to balance this out and ensure gym-goers know this gym does not have the intimidating feel that a lot have.

    Aspirin On-the-Go

Utilising design elements from the Bayer website, I designed a banner ad and packaging for their new product: Bayer On-the-Go Bottles, aimed at professionals aged 35-40. The colour palette creates an upbeat tone, which is balanced out by the simple typography and use of space. Repeated elements across slides create a sense of ease and continuity throughout the advertisement.

    Johnson's Baby Conditioner

I designed a promotional email advertising a fictional product (Johnson’s Baby Conditioner) that feels homey and comforting to the target audience - parents of young children aged 0-2, who are looking to purchase the highest quality products for their children. The soft, rounded nature of the font paired with the soft blue tones of the Johnson’s brand creates a feeling of sincerity and trust while scrolling through the email.

    Gill: Sans the Bullshit

I utilised Eric Gill’s most famous work, the font Gill Sans, to make a book discussing the controversies surrounding him and his work. I utilise a distinct colour palette that heavily contrasts the subject matter, as well as paper cutting throughout most pages, which gives the reader a peek at the dark contexts behind some of his works through the use of holes in the pages that show snippets of his works and words from his private diaries. I named the book Gill: Sans the Bullshit as a play on words.

    It's About Time

With the use of a book, I explored visual ways to express time. Through playful exploration, I made a book exploring the questions and theories surrounding time travel for general audiences who may not know much about the concept. The wording and composition of the pages aim to make the topic approachable and understandable by simplifying a complicated topic into something entertaining.

    The Lottery by Shirley Jackson

I read, deconstruct, and identify the key themes and opportunities for creative exploration within Shirley Jackson’s The Lottery. I considered how the typographic treatment, font selection, format, layout, etc., might enhance the narrative.
