Hello. I'm Michelle and I'm a graphic designer based in Central Scotland. Although I'm fairly new to Twine, I have 20 years of industry experience. I’ve been freelancing for the past 8 years and have worked for a whole host of different clients, from large corporate agencies, to sole traders and just about everything in-between. My passion is for branding and print design, my strength is being an artworking ninja. I love what I do and hope that you can see this reflected in my work. If I can help in your studio or if you have a project you’d like to discuss, please get in touch - I'm sure I'd be able to work with you on your project to create something you'll love. Hope to hear from you soon.

My name is Thomas Moulson. I am a 22-year old graphic designer and motion graphic artist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. My experience in design varies. I have done logos, web design, User experience, user interface, posters, brochures, book covers and even a board game. But, I find web design and mock-ups the most exciting and interesting as you have to think about the user a lot. Who will visit, how do yo want them to interact with the site. If you design this like that then the user is more likely to go there and what not. I also enjoy the collaborative nature that comes with web. For the past year I have worked closely with a hotel chain. Working on designing 5 websites that have their own personalities but also look as if they belong to the same brand. That experience and the people I worked with has taught me a lot about how web design should be done and how to achieve good results in little time.

paddyribeiro.com Stories are not simply told. They are recreated, designed and reinvented at every turn. With every new imagery, every word - be it added or subtracted - and every audience, the weight, value and meaning of a story shifts. Paddy is a queer designer fascinated by the ways in which stories may be shown and told. As such, they have spent years of their professional and personal life broadening their horizons.  Navigating the ever-changing waters of the political and the aesthetic, they are quick to adapt and take charge, albeit in an irreverently calm, curious and rather silly manner. Their work may be commercial, detailed and trendy as well as multi-mediatic, sharp and even chaotic at times. Their creative reach expands to a myriad of fields, for it is through the physicality of print that stories become tactile and through the evanescence of the virtual that they traverse new paths. The plurality of Paddy's being makes them a well-rounded, narrative-driven and ever-exploring person in both their personal and professional life. Paddy's days are filled with passion and dedication. Whether they be folding, pressing and binding zines or carefully reformulating a brand identity, their projects reflect the work of a meticulously perfectionist and ever-learning explorer - adding a new story to their roster as they sip a pint on Friday night. **Day rate** £120/day **Employment and Project Experience** [Aug 2019 - present] Volunteer Branding Consultant // Safe Haven Egypt [Jan 2012 - present] Graphic Designer // Freelancer [Apr 2013 - Jan 2017] Graphic Designer // Coletivo Contorno [Jan 2013 - Apr 2013] Web Designer // 5Seleto [Jan 2011 - Mar 2012] Graphic Design Intern // Coletivo Contorno [Oct 2009 - May 2010] Graphic Design Intern // 23Com [Fev 2009 - Jul 2009] Graphic Design Intern // UEMG **Qualifications and Education** [2017 - 2018] MA in Printmaking // Cambridge School of Art [2009 - 2012] BA in Graphic Design // Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais **Awards and Exhibitions** [Exhibition] Cambridge Original Printmakers Biennale | 2018-UK [Exhibition] Parachute | 2018-UK [Exhibition] Calibrate | 2017-UK [Award] Ben&Jerry's New Super Ice-cream | 2016-eYeka

Frequently Asked Questions
Why hire a graphic designer in Edinburgh, UK?

Look:

Stock graphics stand out like a sore thumb.

And do you know what impression they give?

They give the impression that you’ve taken shortcuts on your business.

When a prospective client visits one of your online channels for the first time, the branding and design work will almost-certainly be the first thing they notice.

By hiring a freelancer to create a set of high-quality graphic designs, you instantly demonstrate the time, effort and consideration you’ve put into your business to prospective clients.

Still not convinced?

Here are three further benefits of hiring a graphic artist over settling for stock graphics:

Stand Out From The Crowd

An original, vibrant and high-quality set of designs is a sure-fire way to set yourself apart from the competition in an instant.

Retain Creative Control

When working with stock graphics you’re forced to try and fit yourbusiness to the graphics. Hiring a graphic designer flips this, allowing you to tailor your graphics to the goals and traits of your business.

Do It Right

Unless you have significant graphic design experience, it can be hard to come up with a design that best-represents your business. A freelance designer will have hundreds (possibly even thousands) of successful projects under their belt, meaning the project will be in a safe and experienced set of hands.

What are the benefits of hiring a freelance designer over a design agency?

Great Question!

Here are the three main benefits of hiring a freelance graphic designer over an agency:

Price

Agencies are swamped with high overhead costs (such as office space, employment tax and fixed salary costs). Hiring a freelancer cuts out the middleman, meaning you’re only paying for the cost of the work rather than the costs of the business.

Experience

The vast majority of freelance graphic designers will have first worked for an agency to build up their skillset before going freelance. This means that you’ll receive a more-experienced graphic designer for a much better price.

Flexibility

By hiring a freelancer, you’re able to tailor your budget and working hours to the nature of the project without the hassle of a long-term contract.

What are you waiting for?

Post a job on Twine now and be matched with high-quality graphic designers in a matter of hours.
