Beauvoir.ca – WordPress Development
The client approached me with only a design concept and asked me to build a full website inspired by Beauvoir Creative Agency (beauvoir.ca) using WordPress. I took that idea and delivered a clean, professional, brand-forward site that reflects the creative, integrated agency approach that Beauvoir does (web dev + branding + video + UX)
My Role & What I Did:
Translated the design mockups into WordPress templates, creating a theme from scratch that reflects the agency’s visual identity (typography, imagery style, layout hierarchy).
Structured all the site pages: home/landing, services, projects/portfolio, about, contact, etc., mirroring the content strategy typical of Beauvoir.ca.
Built a flexible portfolio / case-study section so the client can showcase projects (video, branding, web development) in appealing layouts with media (images, video) and custom filters/categories.
Implemented responsive design to ensure the site looks strong across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
Developed custom sections/modules: hero/video intro section (to mirror their engaging landing), services highlight, value-sections (values like passion, rigor, collaboration), team/about with culture/storytelling content.
Integrated standard WordPress features: CMS for portfolio items, editable sections for testimonials or case studies, contact form, maybe blog or news.
Optimized the site for performance, accessibility, and SEO (clean markup, fast load times, proper heading and alt text usage).
Provided theme setup so the client owns the site, plus documentation/training on updating content.
